Started a YouTube channel? advice? - Robert - 11-15-2012 08:45 AM

I'm 14 and just uploaded my first YouTube video. Please give any constructive criticism. It is a rant channel and I am 14 If that's relevant. Also, how to get maximum views?

Make interesting titles with a lot of tags. Choose interesting topics, make good points, and collaborate with others. Make sure the other channels you collab with have the same amount, or fairly close amount, of subs. That way, they're more likely to collab with you.

You can find some ideas on getting views in the YouTube Creator Playbook:

My advice is to create a website, or something like a twitter account or a Facebook fan page and run the YT channel simultaneously and together with these services. Also it would be great if you focus on a particular trend of videos rather than uploading anything you feel like at the moment, so that you could make use of the existing popularity of that specific subject in order to grow your own audience. This way I think you'll be capable of gathering lots of views and attention from people.
