Does anyone know how Yahoo comes up with the "Trending Now" list on the home page of Yahoo? Is it in order of the most searched phrases/subjects over the last 24 hours, over the week, etc? Are they formulated by topics (ie people, movies, cars)?

It's all about the "Twitter" Listed according to how active they are twittering.
