I know i can go to a profile and click "follow" to add someone to my following but how do u get someone to follow you on twitter?? this thing is so confusing!

they have to choose to follow you, you cant make someone follow you lol

You could ask them or have your friends get a Twitter too.

You just wait for someone to follow you.
Sometimes, when you follow someone, they follow you back.
You could go to forums and post your twitter link, or you can write about the "trending topics" and people will see you and possibly follow you.
