just tweet and ask them if they dont follow you give it a break and get a hobby

you could dress up like them and impersonate them on twitter.. you could show up to their hotels and/or concerts and/or movie premieres and follow them around...
then you'll get your moment with your idol.. but it'll be in court for a restraining order

Spam them like crazy, create trending topics etc. You CAN do it, it's just VERY difficult.
