What I got from news reports is that hackers got a bunch of computers to send messages to TWITTER and overloaded the TWITTER servers somehow.
I noticed it was back on for a short while this morning 20090806. But, when I went back it was off line again.
I think Yahoo operates on a different pricipal. Mass mailing to Yahoo is blocked at about 200 or so email and limited to a daily maximum [undiscloced recipient]
Yes hope TWITTER comes back soon.
