Should Sony create a maintainance notification for PSN? - BluJuLz - 11-18-2012 01:02 PM

wouldnt it be easier than to see people asking about it on yahoo answers
or would it be a waste of time

They already have that , if it's scheduled maintenance they put it up on the blog and in the what's new section of the xmb .
for unscheduled maintenance they can't post info about it since they did not know it would be happening and once psn goes down for a glitch they can't post the info either because obviously psn has to be up to post on the xmb and blog .

just read the what's new news when you turn the ps3 on or bookmark the blog on the browser ( hint , if you open the ps3 browser the homepage has most psn news and links to blog posts )

the fact people don't bother checking the official playstation blog and look on yahoo is not something Sony can help , they almost always post a few days before any scheduled maintenance on the blog but you still get dozens of people on yahoo saying psn was hacked instead of reading news themselves .( same thing happens with most news , most people under 25 do not watch news or read newspapers anymore and instead post rumours they hear on twitter or facebook that are untrue )
