If you have an entrepreneurial spirit you may consider using a service such as
http://www.fiverr.com/
which is basically a broker between those who offer services for $5 and those who are willing to pay $5 for a certain service. If you get 1000 customers you can make $5x1000=$5,000.

Good luck and keep us posted here at Yahoo Answers

Adobe's After Affects and Photoshop are geared towards web media. This would be opposed to Adobe Illustrator which is used for print media. If you are talented at either a job in design would be a good bet. And since you are working with Photoshop, a web designer or graphic designer would be a good place to start.

But it sounds like a lot of what you like doing is small projects for YouTube. Have you ever thought about designing a Twitter background or a Facebook Fan Page? There is a large and expanding market for designers in social media. If you've ever thought of how companies could expand their reach online through Facebbok and YouTube this would be a definite plus.

But there are currently a ton of people looking for help designing and making videos for their social presence. Try search Craig's List or local job boards for social media positions or freelance work.

Hope that helps!

Special effects for movies are probably what you're looking for. They make good money, and you get really good programs to work with.

Almost everyone in business is expected to be self taught on it. It is a small part on doing marketing and advertising and not really a career on itself. It is just one of many apps you are expected to be able to use in the marketing end of working at a business.
