Can websites use your cookies to follow you on Twitter? - geog_nerd - 11-18-2012 01:04 PM I have noticed an odd phenomenon. I bought a soccer video game online and then a soccer-themed Twitter account started following me. Today I was shopping Amazon and now Amazon is following me on Twitter. This cannot be a coincidence. Are companies able to tell you are using Twitter, and then follow you? I'm guessing they might be looking at the cookies in my browser. I didn't tweet about soccer or Amazon, so that's not what caused them to follow me. - AUTHENTIC_PRETTy - 11-18-2012 01:12 PM http://twitter.com/Da__B_A_D_E_S_t |
