twitter account problem...? - :-) - 10-03-2012 04:37 AM

so, I have this old account that I want to get rid of (because it has embarrassing things -_-''), I haven't used it in like three years and I can't remember the email nor the password (I spent I don't know how long trying to remember but it's not working). I went through the twitter help page and it says they can't help if the person doesn't remember both email and password (which I understand because of hacking and stuff) but I think there was also something that said they might delete non used accounts? but obviously they haven't deleted that one.
what do I do?

You need access to the account, which means you either need the password or you need the email address you registered with so that you can recover the account. If your account was linked with a phone number, a password can be sent to that as well.

Try searching your email accounts for registration emails, either for twitter directly or for other email accounts.

Use this page to enter your email address guesses. It should tell you when you enter an address linked to a twitter account. https://twitter.com/account/resend_password

There isn't much else you can do besides learn to keep track of these things in the future. All you can do is cross your fingers that it will be deleted for inactivity.
