i just got a twitter account. and a few people had there tweets protected.
i was wondering what's so good about keeping your tweets protected?
could you get hacked or something?

It is so only people who are your friends can read messages. Yes I believe it is good for privacy.

So that not everything from your life becomes public.
Tweets should be limited to your friends and family.
Not every Rob,Bill,Nancy and Drew should know about them.
