How Do I turn The Sound OFF on Twitter messages? - iDon - 11-19-2012 02:13 AM
When I receive Twitter messages, my phone beeps with the text sound. Is it possible to turn OFF the audio/sound only for Twitter texts and keep the sound ON for other text messages?
Thanks Tiger. I thought maybe they could send the text with or w/o sound, a signal or something.

This is nothing to do with Twitter. If your phone is set to make a sound when SMS arrives, then it will make a sound.
If you add Twitter as a contact, you might be able to set a ringtone for that contact, and assigning a silent ringtone works. With my Nokia, I edited an mp3 file and renamed it to 'silent.mp3' and I use that for the ringtone for some contacts.
It depends more on what phone you have, what client you use to get Twitter messages etc.
