He has some high ranking job at GNB, a banking company, but it's kind of a joke in the show because no one knows what he actually does. It probably has something to do with communications and negotiating because he's seen with foreign people sometimes.
Neil Patrick Harris, who plays him, has 2mil followers on twitter, and he's pretty popular. He was Doogie Howser.
