why is the internet one big popularity contest? - ChadKaplowski - 11-19-2012 02:19 AM

Why is everyone so desperate to appear cool to people that don't know them? Why do people create fake personas online and then attempt to big themselves up by having as many 'friends' on facebook or myspace, followers and retweets on Twitter, likes on facebook, and general +1 ratings on any site that allows it?

Why do you care?

Y U No realise that internet experiences can in no way substitute actually going out and living a real life?
