I just made a twitter account, and im trying to work out how to use it. Can you talk to people on it? cause i added lady gaga, and i want to talk to her, or for her to see my comment, can you comment?, i dont understand it, can someone explain it to me?

You can't talk to people on Twitter as easily as you can on Facebook.
On Twitter, you can follow celebrities but they don't usually follow you back. It's like a "half-friendship."
You can only send direct messages to people who follow you & who you follow.
If you wanted to say something to LadyGaga, you can type her a message by writing @LadyGaga (or whatever her exact Twitter name is) and then your message. But it will be seen by EVERYONE. On the right of your Twitter page where it has @yourname, that's where a person can click to see ALL tweets directed exactly at them.
Usually, celebrities get thousands of tweets and simply cannot respond to them all. It's impossible.
Anyway, if you follow people who follow you back, you can make friendships that way.
Also, on your page, there is a search box with the little magnifying glass icon. If you type in a keyword of interest to you, you'll find all current tweets also using that keyword. That's a good way to find people of common interests -- maybe other Lady Gaga fans, for example.

feel free to browse around
At the top of the twitter page
is a rectangular box 140 characters
for you to write in messages these are called tweets.
as you write more tweets you will get people who will
be following your tweets these are called followers
dm are direct messages these are used to send private message
