you cant get any phone and use the internet without buying the internet, unless you use wifi but thats the same as an ipod touch or laptop

If you are looking for phones without / data plan requirements, but you still want to get on the internet with wifi, then i recommend the following:

-Microsoft Kin M
- Microsoft Kin M 2

They are both great devices, but if it were my decision, I would go with the Kin 2 M because it has a way larger screen, and a nice roomy qwerty keyboard. These phones are also music centric devices, & I think these would meet your requirements ! Big Grin Verizon doesn't carry these on the shelf anymore, so you can purchase them from ebay from a price range from $80 dollars used / refurbished to $120 dollars.

the lg extravert, pantech hotshot, pantech jest 2, lg cosmos 2, samsung intensity 2.
these phones have a facebook and twitter option so you can set up facebook texts and twitter texts and update your status and send a picture to facebook easily. and also tweet to twitter and send pictures to twitter also.
