I have a twitter account[burketails] and i dont know what the dm and replies and tweets do. Can anyone tell me the basics? No links please. Friend requests will be accepted. Well, some.

twitter is just a place where just say what your doing for the moment like i would tweet im at the movies and it is lame stuff like that

Twitter is one of the most straightforward networking sites you will find. DM's (direct messages) and replies are not published but most of the twitter action is based on tweets, aka the messages you publish in your status window. Now to make the most of twitter's power you have to take advantage of the apps that are out there. But no matter what apps you choose to use, getting to learn twitter should be a walk in the park.
