How could I promote my online novels and web sagas? - Sir Askalot - 11-19-2012 02:49 AM

I've just begun writing a web serial and I'm posting updates weekly on my website. How should I go about drawing in viewers? I plan to post chapters on writing forums and the like, but are there any specific methods that are guaranteed to get my work recognised? It's a satirical comedy with adult content and bizarre absurdity (which should automatically have a fanbase, seeing as this is the internet), so are there any communities that would eat that up? Thanks.

There is a whole science behind marketing a web site.

Two main things:

1. Add links,
(Twitter profile, facebook page for the series, RSS feeds, digg.com, etc etc... )
Make your web site connected to anything you find. Any kind of social network or mesh web sites will reach people you wouldn't otherwise.

2. SEO

Those are the free options. If you are willing to invest money in this sort of a thing... it becomes much easier.

Easiest way is to submit your website to the popular search engines out there. It will really increase your website traffic. Also try to read about SEO Search Engine Optimization
