Can I track someones location via their YouTube or Twitter account? - Peter M - 11-19-2012 02:50 AM

And how would I do it, I want to send someone on YouTube a Christmas gift, but I don't want to spoil the surprise by asking where he they live. Thanks in advance.

You cannot, sorry.

I would highly suggest not doing that.

If you send someone a gift who never gave you their address and you found it by hacking into a site, that wouldn't be thoughtful, it would be creepy and stalker like and kind of illegal. The person would probably cut ties with you for their own safety.
I'd suggest putting your intentions out there and if the person wants to share his address he will, if not, he won't.

You can't. The most information you would get from that is a person's IP address, which would tell you their ISP and a GENERAL idea of where they are located, but certainly not their exact address.

Just ask them.
