What are the best free Ways to Promote Your Blog? I have started a blog and have receive a decent amount of viewership, but I have completely stalled. Any advice?

following are the best free ways to promote your blog or site
social networking sites
like fb twitter etc
email marketing
most fav video marketing via youtube
forums
blog website directories
article submission directories
and most effective search engines
hope its enough for u to drive lot of traffic to your blog

Here are some ways I've found that are helpful:
1. Follow similar blogs.
2. Make comments on other blogs.
3. Invite a popular blogger to write a post for your blog.
4. Mention your posts in Twitter and Facebook.
5. Answer blog-related questions here in Yahoo Answers and mention your own blog.
6. Subscribe to blog aggregate sites like blogfrog and technorati.
7. Make your posts Google-friendly, with good content and good keywords in your titles.
8. Mention in YOUR blog interesting posts you've read in other blogs and include a link to the post.

The above two answers says it all. So i'll tell you what not to do. While commenting on other blogs or forum or site , don't try to spam. Do write something relevant to the page where you are commenting and post appropriate link.
While making your blog google friendly, don't use excessive keywords. These two will help you from getting penalized by google.
