How much data does the Twitter app for android use? - Somebody - 11-19-2012 02:59 AM

My plan will only have 100mb of data per month and I don't plan on using data for anything more than Twitter, Facebook, and maybe Instagram.
Would 100mb of data be enough?

No. That will not be enough. What is going to kill you is the uploading of pictures and videos to Instagram and FB. Especially if you have a newer Android the resolution of those pictures will be pretty high and eat up all your data when you upload them.

Also note, every time you open FB or Instagram it loads a set of pictures and notifications. That eats up data also.

Twitter, FB, and Instagram are also usually set for auto-updating every X (5, 10, 20, or 60 min) amount of minutes. That will kill you within a day guaranteed.

Go with 2GB AT LEAST. Nowadays 2GB is even cutting it close especially if you have email synced, any games (like Restaurant Story, Words with Friends, and Draw Something constantly syncing), or you listen to music (Pandora or Spotify).
