STOPZilla finds malware but no other freeware finds it? - Lucky - 11-19-2012 03:03 AM

I downloaded STOPZilla (not realising you had to pay for it to remove the problem) and it found Gen Malware Detection.A8
I can't find it with any other freeware? I've tried MCAfee, Malwareby and SUPERAntispyware
Sad plus my firefox has totally spazed out, all of the web pages only half load, my twitter was hacked, confuuuuuuuuuuuused Smile
Please help

I generally use MalwareBytes and Spybot S&D to remove viruses and malware. It gets rid of most of the issues. If you're getting specific errors, look up the exact error to find the root issue. Make sure the programs you use are all up to date.

it's junk uninstall it not worth the hassle if malwarebytes and superantispyware didn't find anything then your fine hope this helps

That's because StopZilla is a scam.

The only people who recommend it are paid "affiliates" (shills) who earn a commission when that piece of feces is bought from their link.

As for your current problems, if MBAM and SAS don't find any malware, then some settings must be screwed up some where.

Try system restore to a point before there were probs and before crapzilla.
