You need to use the password reset wizard ASAP
http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&y=PROD_MAIL_CLASSIC&locale=en_US&id=SLN3420

Then when you get your account back fill out a Mail Restore form http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/mail_restore.html if you lost your mail and a Contact Restore form
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/contacts/restore/ab_restore.html if your contacts were deleted
You need to do this immediately as Yahoo can only restore mails within 48 hours, otherwise they are deleted from the server

And find some way (Facebook, Twitter, phone) to inform everyone of your friends that your account was hacked and that you don't need money. This happened to a friend of mine and 3 of her friends ended up sending money before she knew what had happened

This normally happens if you fall for a phishing scam. You didn't get some email recently that looked like it was from Yahoo claiming you had to upgrade your account, your account had a virus or you won an iPad did you -- and it asked for your username and password? This was not from Yahoo -- it was a phishing scam
