Post tons of tweets. and people interested in the same subject will follow you. Like i write about "green" planets. I got like 40 people to follow me just for that one post.

try asking your friends, hell, just wait until random people start folowing you, it happened to me.

Answer questions and then tell them that if they liked the answer to follow you on twitter.

OMG, I HATE those websites. I got tricked into following like 100 people and then it told me I had to pay to get them to follow me! After I followed them, though, I got like 30 followers. There isn't really a good way unless you're famous, or you advertise it on on of your social accounts like MySpace or Facebook, and you follow a whole bunch of people and they follow you back. Some people automatically follow back.

If your posts are interesting you will gain support like a snowball because you will be referred to others by your current followers! This of course requires a steady stream of interesting tweets. Good Luck!
