is eharmony a rip off? - Listen to your heart - 11-22-2012 04:47 AM

Ok I just have to ask this cause I joined about 6 months ago and have yet to even talk to anyone. My profile is very decent and so is my pic. I mean it's like no one has ever tried to initiate a conversation and when I have tried to get a girl to talk to me I always get ignored. I get a lot of profiles without a picture. Granted pics should not be the only thing a guy looks at but seriously if you meet a girl in real life you see what she looks liek so why should online be any different? It makes me wonder if the profiles are bogus and not real people.

I did eharmony for awhile and didn't like it. It seemed like communication took forever and was an extremely boring process. Try a different dating site and see if you like that better. Eharmony spouts their multi-level compatibility junk but I, personally, was not impressed at all, because the guys they matched me up with were painfully boring to talk to, and I didn't like them at all.

Sorry this has been your experience so far. You say your profile and pic are “decent” – believe it or not, sometimes if they’re not outstanding, you’ll get lost in the crowd of the other matches your matches are getting. Most people do better with a good variety of photos.

You can post your profile in our eHarmony Advice discussion boards for free feedback, also, you can post any topic there and see what other members are saying: http://is.gd/bqfHt 236 people a day on average get married through eHarmony, and we’d rather have you find love rather than feel ripped off!
