If it lasts till your teenage years, it is not so bad. You will get over them. Ask a friend to change your mind about some other celebrities. Bet them you will give away your One Direction stuff in exchange. Or sell your stuff on ebay, may be money will help you get rid of it.

Stop feeding the obsession.

Take down your posters and put away all the 1D crap in your room.

And get a hobby. That'll help too.

Get better taste in music and the rest will fix itself.

Also, quit wasting internet with questions like these. It's the wrong topic, and is less a question and more a declaration of how big a fan you are of this latest cookie cutter boy band.

To be honest I don't think you'll be able to stop it.

Try concentrating on other things/people and get rid of some of your stuff. You don't need all their pictures they've ever taken and all their phone covers. Or their quotes!

It's good to look up to people. Some of my friends are obsessed, too. I know how you feel. I was for a while and still adore them (long story!) but yeah.

Just try to minimalise how much time you spend on them, eventually it'll get less and less.

But you're normal, nothing wrong with you. If you think that their actually is, and you actually, truly believe you're crazier than most fans, you should perhaps speak to a counsellor! Smile

Don't worry about it. The obsession will pan out; trust me on this one. Give it a year. It doesn't mean you'll stop being a fan, but you'll become less crazy about them. Good luck x

P.S By the way, I'm a HUGE DIRECTIONER! I run a blog abut them and everything. But I've calmed down about loving them so much.
