im not making fun of you i swear. but i figured you dont go on things like tumblr, twitter and xtube. so do you go on news sites or something?

usually sites relating to music. date a record was issued and the original artist.
Occasionally social history sites of my location.
I have a facebook account but seldom visit it,I'm even thinking of deleting it

Great question. I am 76. Here is what I use the internet for:
1 Genealogical Research, I have identified my family back 8 generations
2 Google Earth. I hike in the wilderness and GE is a great help with GPS coordinates.
3 Wikopedia helps me learn more about the planet I live on, and also place names
4 Amazon.Com. I shop from the comfort of my own home and it's delivered to the door
5 ebay. I both buy and sell here and have earned a nice part time income by selling.
6 Auto Repairs. I have found sites on the web that help me fix my own car.
7 I use email to keep contact with family members all over the planet
8 Y/A is the least valuable, but it is ridiculous entertainment
That's just a beginning, I have other constructive uses for the web also.

Good Q, Frank ... Senior Citizens are as varied in what we do as you kidsters... I do research on issues & items such as helping to decide on the car that I bought, I use Google & Yahoo. I use Edmunds. I visit assorted information pages on Health. I like food & recipes. I do not use any of the social media sites like Facebook or the ones you have mentioned since I am not interested in broadcasting to the world what I ate for lunch, etc. I do email but sporadically since I prefer senting & getting things/messages in the mail which also allows me to support the US Postal Service.
I do visit some news sites but i am selective and cross check for factual info..Not all sites are trustworthy.
