It showed that the National Guard is NOT the Swiss Army, in response time. Sad, and they are not under a direct attack. You must walk the walk and not just talk the talk.
They were caught with the pants down in Staten Island on gas (no gas in Gas stations, BP and others did not even 'volunteered to help with some free gas for the needy), purified water (contaminated water from sewer systems), emergency food (since bridges were cutoff and supplies were not entering...) and emergency power generation (Hospital was caught with a faulty Emergency generator!).
It took almost a week to get the National Guard on the ground in Staten Island. May this serve as an example for the rest of the civilized world. Thanks God, the people in New York has been civilized and there are examples of kindness, above all.
