I think Facebook is still the most powerful but Twitter is very close.

I get more traffic from Facebook but then I am more active on Facebook.

It depends on your niche and on how you use each channel.
If you have a ton of spammy followers on Twitter and have no relationship with them, then Twitter will be no good. But if you have cultivated good relationships with people, they will want to see your good link recommendations and your own great content when you tweet about that.
The same with Facebook really: take it seriously and network regularly about solid topics and either - or both - will work brilliantly.
