It depends what you are trying to achieve.

Unfortunately advertising is often the first refuge of the lazy who use it because a telesales person has caught them on the phone rather than because it will help them get what they want.

In my sector (professional services) advertising is useful for some things - but in terms of getting business through the front door it ranks way down the list compared to, say, telemarketing, relationship marketing, the use of events or writing editorial for the local press.

For my business, advertising internationally has no place at all in my marketing promotional mix.

Advertising, when done correctly, is a surefire way to connect with a large volume of your target audience in one shot. It's definitely a key tool in garnering awareness.

As the Philip & Kottler states, 'advertising is only a tip at the iceburg of marketing.'

What is Advertising? It is a message meant for your Target Market. Definitely it very important what & how you say it to your prospective consumers.

But where & when you say it, is determined by choosing the Right MEDIA VEHICLE, like the Print media, Radio, Television, Magazines, and so on and so forth.

As for importance of Advertising Internationally, you must know that Consumer Behaviour, Cultural & Social Values differe from place to place.

While chalking out an international campaign the professionals must consider these factors else things might fire back.

For example, a Coke advertising campaign running in Europe might not be suitable in the Middle Eastern countries.

Therefore, Advertising Campaigns vary from region to region.

Some in other countries are intrested in the united states marketing & ideas to buying from us & our business's so they have more of a variety & we have a good relationship with business comunication out side the united states for many more options ot sell our product's.
