i really need more followers on twitter, but i dont know how to get any! nobody i follow follows back, and im not paying for more or doing anything major to get them..,
anyone know any good tips? or good people to follow thats gets your followers up?

I have about 500 maybe 530 followers (the last time I saw), I just follow people (ALOT of people, over 1,000) with a common interest or passion. Getting retweeted by a celebrity always helps, and I've done that 2-3 times (Shaun Ross and Dan Joycey <3) And when you follow people, try to follow them from others' mentions (If they say that the person always follows back) and use Hashtags, that helps too

Here are some useful tips to get more twitter followers:
1. Follow everyone <---IMPORTANT
2. Retweet like mad <---IMPORTANT
3. Constantly tweet about what you’re doing
4. Auto DM new followers to welcome them
5. Link to your MySpace, Facebook or Bebo page
6. Ask people to Digg, Retweet, Bookmark, Float etc.
7. Ask people to follow you <---IMPORTANT (use it on your every useful post, like good news,quotes,celebrity news)
8. Use all 140 characters <---IMPORTANT (short tweets aren't as interesting)
9. Don’t give away your secrets
10. Don’t reply to nobodies

Here are some tips to get more followers on Twitter:
(a) Tweet interesting and compelling messages! This will help you to create a conversation.
(b) When a conversation starts, keep it and you may ask him/her to follow you back.
© Use hashtag and Retweets. This may help to widen your tweet reach.
(d) Follow people with the same interests and...
(e) Share your Twitter profile in other social media platforms. It's just like saying: "Hey, I'm Twitter! Follow me!".
