On the news, advertisement, everywhere. I see people talking about Twitter. What IS twitter mostly or all about? Does anyone have an account on there? Please tell me about it, it's driving me insane.

I am actually OBSESSED with Twitter! Haha!
I am so sad!
Basically, you write in "what you are doing"
You can "follow" people which means you get an update on what they are doing.
And people can follow you too Smile
It's really good, plus there are celebs on their Big Grin
Hope this helped Big Grin

Twitter is probably the biggest time waster known to man. It is simply a bragging system. People open an account (sign up for free at http://www.twitter.com) and then they start broadcasting in 140 character blurbs, which is more like an automated mailing list. This blurb can be read by anyone who browses at the twitter home site or as it is mainly used, by people who SUBSCRIBE to you and FOLLOW you. In essence, it is boasting at the rate of 140 characters at a time. I fail to see the point in following someone by reading 140 character email messages. All it is, is a simple, automated mailing list, in which people broadcast tidbits on anything they please, 140 characters at a time. I have heard that there are some very famous people doing this, with 10's of thousands of followers. Like I said, as with Seinfeld, I fail to see the POINT...
