Blog or something I can use to promote my etsy store? - Eliza - 11-27-2012 06:46 AM

I want to start a blog or something where I can post photos of my stuff on etsy in order to get more people to look at my stuff. I'm also into photography and I'd like to post my photographs on the same website.

You could set up a wordpress blog and choose a domain name related to the products on your store

Hi Eliza,

Yes just about every person promoting something asks exactly the same question.
I personally write about safe products v's synthetic chemicals and have an information site at http://organicbabyitemsonline.com

And now I have found a safe eco friendly company that provides quality goods - of course I want to increase traffic to my website.

Free online classified adds help a little, writing articles and submitting them to online article sites like ezinearticles.

Social media is pretty huge - but I found it can be time consuming. About the time I thought about tossing the social media side of things I was invited to check out a new site.

It was awesome they have free and paid membership options. I started with the free but quickly went to paid.

Why? I do one post in one place - It sends that one post to upwards of 25 social sites behind the scenes. I had to set up accounts in each of those social media sites but my enthusiasm quickly began to race.

One post shot everywhere in minutes. So I loved it.

How does that help? It helps because it gives you greater exposure to build your friendship base and CREATE Backlinks to your site which is extremely important in the eyes of Google.

You could shoot a post saying - Check this out - the best shot of....
Use your imagination but you get what I mean.

At least make use of twitter and facebook to direct traffic back to your etsy store.

Good luck with it - listen and learn constantly - but keep your investment costs low. Invest only in time saving options. Being a one person team - Saving time is crucial.
