I need to know what are the steps that I shall follow to make a website optimized for search engine .. ?

Well for making your website SEO friendly check the code of your website there should not be any unnecessary coding in your website which makes it load slow.
Try to do Keyword researching, On page Optimization(Meta tag creation)
Site map creation and submission, robots.txt files creation, change in .htaccess files, h1 tag optimization, Content optimization and some off page optimization such as Directory submission, article submission, Blog posting, forum participation, Link building, social media marketing, publicity and advertising, email marketing, press release submission etc.
This will make your website rank higher in search engines.
