It's meant for connecting to your live and then connecting your live to a windws 8 or windows phone... then... yes, it works very well, never tried it on windows 7 though (I work for them, had full version 8 for 2 months now)

Microsoft is not a fan of Linux, which Twitter is a Linux system, Yahoo, Google Myspace, Facebook are all Linux run websites, if you didn't know that, now you do know, Microsoft like Mac want to control everything you do,
