Sometimes, it depends on the celebrity. One time my friend DMed Liam Payne and he answered back.

I don't know any celebrities who actually use Twitter. Almost all of those celebrity accounts are managed by the celebrity's publicist. It's some 19 year old intern in the publicist's office who is sending out those tweets on behalf of the celebrity.

They can only receive direct messages if they follow you
But most the time they don't answer their direct messages if they do

Yeup, like One Direction, people show pictures of their DM's with the boys'. I think Liam is the nicest like you said, but Niall is on it actually very often now
