How to restore please read first before answer :)? - ashley - 11-27-2012 06:58 AM Hello, I have a Dell windows XP computer and its all screwed up and I was wondering how can I restore it so its as if it was brand new. I don't have the time or money no matter how little it cost for the disk that does the job and I already did that thing where you set it back to an earlier time and that doesn't do the job it just puts it back to a certain point which is not new. So is there a way I can set it a if it was brand new myself. Please help with all instructions ![]() - Niranjan - 11-27-2012 07:06 AM Hello Ashley, I am from Dell Social Media and Community. Follow the link below to restore your system to original factory settings: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&docid=DSN_181316&isLegacy=true If you are unable to perform Dell PC Restore by Symantec, it could be because of the corruption of the file/partition during a previous install. However, you can follow the link below to manually install the operating system using the recovery discs. http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&docid=DSN_179256&isLegacy=true Let me know if you need further assistance, I will be glad to help.
