I just joined Twitter yesterday, and so far I'm liking it. However, I still don't know much about tweeting. I've pretty much been following people and getting followed, but I know there's a lot more. Can someone explain about tweeting? What exactly is it, who sees them, things like that.

tweeting is like posting on Facebook. when you tweet all your followers see it there's also an option called private chat where only the person you are chatting with can see what you're saying.
There also is something called Re tweeting. You have to click on the button that kinda looks like the recycle button above or below a tweet and it becomes yours and all your friends see it. You can also favorite quotes that you like.
