i have some for you: don't put in boring 6 page statuses, put something short and cool for example:

make it funny - maybe even make a pun. On valentine's day, i put "20% of condom sales increases on Valentine's day!" i got about 30 likes.
So seeing as it's St. Patrick's Day, you could find something funny about alcohol or leprechauns or something very stereotypical.

I always enjoyed using a application called *status Shuffle* everything is categorized for quick search and you can make your own for everyone to use... its great for making brilliant status's. and dont worry. its perfectly safe to use. :-) this is the best app ever for facebook status updates.
