Why are plenty of famous people so selfish? - Psycho fan - 12-03-2012 11:03 AM

Why are plenty of famous people so selfish? I sent a portrait to this comedian guy and this guitarist who I have drawn and they never replied. I mean, a single 'thanks' would be enough, but no, i didnt get even that.
I personally do portraits professionally. It is my job , it is from what I earn of for a living. It's a family tradition and I happened to be quite noticable in many areas for the work I do.

But listen, I personally don't want to sound selfish but this was few months ago, I mean, I know people have lots of work to do and they don't have enough of time to check their mail or their web page. But eventually it is known that they do!
But for these two people I have been notified that the images of those portraits I did, reached them.
I waited and waited. I think it's already 3 months or a little bit more from the point I was told it reached them. The portrait that I did for the famous guitarist I sent it to the mail that was on his official webpage that is reffered to as to his manager that is booking concerts. And miracleously I got a reply from him that he redirected the work to the artist (the guitarist) and the manager personally gave me his best regards. Well on some level that was still pretty good, I'm satisfied with that.
But with this other guy who's a comedian, and whom I sent this portrait, I sent it to his e-mail and on his twitter, and he checks his twitter all the time , keeps posting his statuses and stuff, and I never got a reply or a thank you from him.
It's no rude and untolerant, I mean.. afterall , we're all humans. If was in the high position, and if I was a real a**hole like that , I'd still say 'thank you'.
What do you guys think?

The comedian is probably too busy. Think about it, millions of people send fan mail and thousands send it at the same time. It takes a long time to get items from one place to another. Stay optimistic, maybe in a few months that comedian will send a thank you.
