what does it mean when a celebrity from korea follows you on twitter ? - shawty-so-fine-808 - 12-03-2012 03:10 PM

i just recently made a twitter... and a celebrity from korea and two t.v networks (i think) started to follow me... i hardly post anything on twitter... why are they following me?

i'm just curious ...
i'm korean....
but i put in my "english" name.. i don't think they're spam followers because i looked at their profile and they are the real deal..like they have photos of different stars from their show, with them , etc..

maybe they mistaking you for some one elses.

Because they wanted to follow you.. I'm not sure. I don't think anyone can be sure, except for them.

They are just spam followers. Some of them follow everyone.

They might be fake or mistaken you for someone else. However if they have a low amound of followers and a huge amount of "following" then it is an incentive for you to follow them back.

there are probably heaps of people with the same name as your korean idols.
there's a reason for that, you know

I would triple check to make sure they aren't a fake. Sites like allkpop have lists of confirmed celebrity Twitter accounts.
Unless you are the president of a fan club or they now you personally, it's extremely doubtful that they'd follow someone random (unless it was a contest or something). It just creates jealous amongst fans.
Also, hundreds of Koreans will have identical names to idols just by accident and coincidence.
Do some research into it.

Good luck!

Maybe you look like you work in KPOP Smile i really don't know. But mavbe you're just favored lol. Even me,i created a Twitter account and i follow a lot of journalists i see on TV that inspire me and that. Somehow, almost all of them follow me back or have followed me without even me asking! It just happens Smile
