On Facebook, is it possible to hide JUST when anybody becomes a fan of something? I don't want to hide the person completely, but I just want to hide when ever someone becomes a fan of it. Because people become fans of stupid things that I couldn't care less about, and it hogs up my news feed.

Try going to Account>Application settings>Groups>Edit settings, then click on additional settings. Untick "publish to streams". Not too sure if it will work but try it.
