How can I learn HTML coding ? - Stella - 12-04-2012 06:34 PM

I don't want to brag but I am pretty good with HTML coding. I mean I easily customize stuff on Tumblr with html, I can do anything I want and so on. But I want to learn how to CREATE codes. Per example, the codes on Tumblr aren't compatible with Blogger and I would like to be able to create the same code but for Blogger. I would love to be a photographer/web designer later.

Basically, where/how can I learn to create html codes ? I am 14. Therefore, I can't take college classes if it is what you were going to suggest (;

There are many tutorials online that can walk you through learning how to code in HTML. Sites like W3Schools is good. You might also want to look int Javascript.

Do not stop learning and you will reach your goal.

W3Schools and Notepad++...that's all you need. And the HTML you plug in to blog platforms is child's play compared to actual development.

So you can't take college courses huh? Try coursera.org Online courses for everyone, big or small and they are free! take as many or as few as you want! They have courses in programming also. Also try the w3schools.com for internet programming.

you can learn HTML by yourself (i'm self learner). you already have passion... and you just need notepad, web browser, tutorials. I suggest learn CSS also. HTML & CSS are easy to learn.

i use http://www.w3schools.com for starting point and for reference. but to specific coding i search other web sites which contain tutorials.

next, i suggest learn javascript. javascript is programming (HTML & CSS are not) javascript some kind hard to learn but it's more challenging, powerful, and "fun" than HTML & CSS.

HTML is not a programmable code. It has been set as the default web standard to be used by browsers. It is a static markup language. Anything you would make to use on a web page outside the standard HTML/XHTML/Etc would have to be processed by your server like Facebook's developer codes/api's.
