When I got on twitter a few hours ago, it said i have a DM so I went to go look at it, but it said that I don't have anything in my inbox. Anyone know what's going on?

On your Twitter page, at the right hand column, there's a link that says "direct messages," with number next to it indicating the message it contains.
If it's on 0, it either means that was a spam, or you've been hoaxed by a third party site that made you log in through their site.
