ok i jus made my own fan page on facebook and i found a good picture for it on google images. i was wondering if it would violate some type of copyright law and i could be sewed if i put it as the default for my fan page.

I think it's ok. But you might want to check the facebook rules.

Hi

From my experience on Facebook, there isn't a law saying that you can't use google images for your fan page so i think you can use a google image.

If i were you though, i'd check for the rules of a Fan Page if it's ok to post any google images just to be safe.

Hope this helps!

You don't own the picture, and if it's not yours and you don't have permission from the owner to use it, you're violating the copyright of the owner.

Most people are quite gracious about granting permission for non-revenue generating uses, and many are equally adamant that you take something down that you don't have permission for. Ask me before you use something, and I'll probably tell you it's fine to use my work. Don't ask me, and I'll come after you like a ton of bricks.
