So someone tweeted to me and at first it appeared on the timeline but then it disappeared and it wasn't on my notifications but if I were to click on the persons profile I could see the tweet. Why did that happen? Did he delete the tweet? Or is my twitter just acting up?

There could be two reasons-
1- The person tweeted to you have deleted the tweet
2- Sometimes tweets shows strange due to Internet speed, in slower speed timeline updation is really slow.
Otherwise Twitter always works.
