How to get Facebook to remove a post? - Misplaced Midwesterner - 12-08-2012 01:27 PM

I'm just curious if there's some way to get facebook to remove a post from someone's page.

My mother in law, whom we have nothing to do with, publicly posted a comment stating where my husband and I are going to be moving to. We are in the Army and we do not want this information publicly stated. She is not on our FB friends' list. She posted the city and state along with the month and date we will be there. On her FB, she posted it like this: UPDATE ON ______(my husband's name) and then posted all of our location info.

We have had nothing to do with her because of stuff like this. Is there anyway that we can request that FB remove this or is there nothing that can be done?

Once it's out there it's out there. I'm sorry there is no other option, but there is no possible way you can permenantly erase something off of Facebook or the internet. If I were you I would confront your mother in law not to post this kind of information, espicially not on FB. And frankly, nobody really even cares what some stranger is posting, so I think you're safe. I wish you the best.
