There is an apartment they are building on my college campus and they are doing some promotion thing where the 100th person to like their facebook page gets a gift card. I'm just wondering how they know who the 100th person is? Does it tell them or how do they know? It confuses me so I'm just wondering!

The owner of the page gets the notifications whenever someone likes or comments in his/her page. So, yeah they'll get to know who the 100th person will be.

Only the administrator of the page can see who liked their page. However, it won't tell you who the 100th person was. They would have to go by how many likes they have before new ones come in and then count the new likes from the oldest to the most recent like to see who the 100th person was.
