I've heard about companies and charities making money through Facebook likes on their page. How exactly does this work? I belong to a society on my campus and this kind of fund raising opportunity could be invaluable.

They all are looking for audience.....they want you to visit them or keep in touch so that they can easily spread the words out.....Its all bout marketing..do not make money directly....but indirectly by driving more and more people to their charity or business.
