What is with girls taking 1 trillion pictures on facebook? - joe B - 12-09-2012 03:13 PM

Why do girls feel that they need to take 1 trillion pictures of themselves and post them on facebook, and no, all girls do this. Is facebook like the new modeling agency or something? Or all all girls attention whores?

You know you like it.

Girls think that on Facebook, EVERY ONE is looking at them, when nobody even cares, so they post all these pics of themselves. I would know since I'm a girl haha

They feel as though if they put more of themselves out there to see, they will get more compliments. But what's really bad is when they take pictures with their webcam and don't even move their bodies, they just turn their head or something.

we want people to comment saying "prettyyyyy" so we can be like "haha thx but not really" cuz we're all skanks ;D

As I may be a girl I don't obtain these picture taking obsessions and don't even own a camera so I am yet to find the real reason. So an undereducated guess would be that it's because they are bored.

No one ever took 1 trillion pictures.

Modern society pressures girls to look a certain way. They may post a lot of pictures because they are obsessed with their looks, or want to take a picture that looks a certain way. Being a guy I notice this alot. I would rather look at 10 good pictures rather than 1 trillion crappy pictures with a few ok ones mixed in. People are usually afraid to tell these people to stop because you could damage a frendship or an ego. It's just life in the modern age, we all have to deal with it.

They want compliments.

No, ALL girls don't do this. I take a new photo maybe once every five months and upload it; most of my friends are the same way. The other girls are just bored attention whores. Don't stereotype, I could just as easily ask what is with guys posting 1 trillion pictures of cars to Facebook.
