What does it mean when people use these signs "<" and ">" ? - Lily - 10-03-2012 04:55 PM

What does it mean when someone puts it as their status on facebook/twitter? Ex: "soccer guys >>" or "guys with a sense of humor >" does anyone know what the person is implying there?

•two of those symbols next to each other like >> or << is usually to show the act of "looking around cautiously/nervously" or "squinting/glaring"

ex: when people stare at me like >> I glare back like (-.- )...

•when just one is used, it's usually to display a comparison between two things (as the symbol is used in math)

ex: guys with a sense of humor > guys who act serious all the time.
